QUIPO TELECOM TO EXPAND IN UP, UTTARAKHAND (proposes to build 2,000 towers in 2008 and invest around $350-400 million over 2008-2012)


(India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Quipo Telecom Infrastructure Ltd (QTIL), a telecom infrastructure provider, has planned to expand its services in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. It proposes to build more than 2,000 towers in 2008 and invest around $350-400 million over 2008-2012. The company specialises in the passive sharing system of telecom towers.



The company, which now constructs 75-100 telecom towers per month, aims to increase it to 200 per month. It now has over 400 towers in east and west Uttar Pradesh.
