Research and Markets Adds Report: New Zealand - Mobile Communications - Analyses

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "New Zealand -
Mobile Communications - Analyses" report to its offering.

In a release, Research and Markets noted that report highlights include:

The reality of the mobile market in New Zealand is that it remains a
duopoly, and it is in the interest of both players to keep the market
as it is, for as long as possible. That has been very much the story of
2007 and it will remain the story for 2008. The real battles were
fought a year prior, and Vodafone emerged as the winner. They could
easily have pushed through and taken over the total mobile market.

However, that would have most certainly resulted in very strong
regulatory action, so they kept the status quo going now for its second
year. From now on, any new mobile regularity initiative will need to
look at 4G, and the opportunities with WiMAX, if it ever emerges as a
viable technology. By 2012, 4G will start to emerge and serious changes
to the mobile market in New Zealand might have to wait until that time.
The best the regulator can do at the moment is to force prices down.

This report contains a collection of analyses on the mobile market in
New Zealand.
