BesTV, GOME Sign OTT IPTV STB AgreementJan 04, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- BesTV New Media Co., Ltd (BesTV; SHSE: 600637) has signed an agreement on cooperative sale of over-the-top (OTT) smart IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) STBs (Set Top Box) with GOME Electrical Appliances Holding Ltd. (SEHK: 0493), aiming the sales target of 1 million. As agreed, BesTV will be responsible for the provision of STB hardware and content service, while GOME will be in charge of product sale. Deputy manager of Radio and Television Shanghai said that both BesTV and GOME take household users as their main service targets, adding that the two sides were undergoing transformation and development and the cooperation of the two parties would further consolidate the concept of serving users.
