Onida Selects Orca's Hybrid TV Tuner for Its Next Generation LED Televisions
LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--
Orca Systems, Inc. (www.orcasystems.com),
a fabless RF semiconductor company based in Poway, Calif., today
announced that Onida, a leading Indian consumer electronics
manufacturer, has selected Orca's ORC5305 silicon tuner for its Next
Generation LED televisions. The ORC5305 is a single-chip, CMOS-based,
hybrid TV tuner that can receive both analog and digital signals from
either terrestrial or cable networks.
"Reception of signals through terrestrial and cable networks is very
important for our TV customers," said Suresh Kumar, general manager of
research & development at MIRC Electronics Ltd., Onida's parent company.

Orca will be demonstrating analog TV (NTSC/PAL/SECAM) and
