Rovi Signs IP License Agreement with NTT DOCOMO for Its VOD Services


SANTA CLARA, Calif. & TOKYO --(Business Wire)--

Rovi Corporation (NASDAQ:ROVI), a global leader in entertainment discovery, today announced that it has entered into a new license agreement with NTT (News - Alert) DOCOMO, INC., the largest mobile service provider in Japan, for the use of Rovi's video discovery and interactive program guide (IPG) patents and technologies. This new agreement expands upon a previous agreement between the two companies to now cover NTT DOCOMO's video on demand (VOD) services.

Previously, NTT DOCOMO licensed Rovi's G-Guide product and IPG patents for use in its mobile handsets.
