Philippines : CALL center in PHL to be opened by SAP [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Global software firm SAP lately disclosed intends to set up a business-process outsourcing unit in the country.

SAP Asia-Pacific and Japan President Adaire Fox-Martin said that the firm is very excited about expanding company operations here. SAP has been present in the country for about 19 years, with two offices and a number of local-based services. It moreover functioned its human resources department here for employees across the Asia-Pacific region.



Fox-Martin said SAP is putting up a small call-center operation in the Philippines to open up sales and marketing jobs. In line with this plan, she said that the company has invested in what it calls a project nucleus, an incubation of SAP s telesales services for clients in the region. She did not reveal, however, the investment cost for the said project.

At present, said the nucleus will have a staff of 50, representing all of countries in the region with SAP offices.


Ultimately, the software giant is intending to double this number to 100 employees, as it hires young and skilled talents available in the country that really attracted us to build the call center in the Philippines, as stated by the SAP executive.
