China : XIAOMI tries to put derailed train of market reputation back on track [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Finland's FSecure has launched probes into claims that Xiaomi was sending key data under the radar from its MIUI powered phones back to the main Xiaomi servers in China.

It was found that the claims were not unsubstantiated and touched upon the worst concerns of consumers who were worried due to the fact that yet another telecom company was putting their privacy on the line.

The device sent back the carrier name, phone number, IMEI (device identification technology), additional numbers saved in the phone book, as well as personal text messages data back to Beijing, though FSecure's all-new Redmi 1s Hugo_BarraXiaomi produced smartphone does not add any cloud accounts to its program.

The incident put off many users due to the fact that the information shared from their devices was not encrypted, which implies that the phone stipulations could be known to one and all alike.

This brewing controversy has perhaps led the Chinese company to make efforts to put the derailed train of their market reputation back on track.
