Korea Republic of : SOUTH KOREAN operator adds 9,306 broadband connections in AUGUST [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LG Uplus, a South Korean operator, announced that it had nearly 3 million subscribers in the broadband segment at 14 August, after net additions of 9,306 broadband connections in the month. At mid-August, subscribers in the telephony segment (VoIP and PSTN) amounted 4.85 million. after adding 10,563 subscribers in the month, LG Uplus obtained 4.35 million VoIP subscribers in August. On 14 August, the PSTN user base decrased by 772 users to 499,448 customers. The operator's IPTV subscriber base reached 1.84 million, following net additions of 31,698 in the period.
