Mozido Receives Two PYMNTS Awards for Mobile Innovation at Innovation Project 2015

Mozido, mobile financial and retail marketing solutions provider, today announced the company and its customer, American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ), received recognition at PYMNTS' Innovation Project 2015 for Mozido's work towards establishing global financial inclusion and for the myDQ mobile loyalty and payment application currently testing in Denver, CO.

"We're proud that our global financial inclusion efforts and customer innovations have received recognition at such a prestigious event as PYMNTS Innovation Project 2015," said David Luther, EVP and CMO, Mozido. "The myDQ application is one of the world's most innovative examples of an integrated mobile payments and engagement program, and we're excited to see it gain national recognition. We're looking forward to seeing our work continue to bring better retail experiences and easier, more affordable mobile financial services to the people of the world."

PYMNTS hosted the 2015 PYMNTS Innovation Awards in order to honor those who have shaped the payments industry. With more than 80 finalists competing for these awards across 16 categories, the Dairy Queen® system's myDQ application was named Best Merchant Solution.

The myDQ application from Mozido features an entire mobile ecosystem-personal engagement, loyalty rewards, contextually relevant offers, and payments-which allows Dairy Queen franchisees to nurture customer engagement by building customer profiles for personalized rewards and communication. It uses location-enabled functionality in the application for timelyand relevant messages, and provides easy mobile payments options to complete the in-store experience. The personalized myDQ experience gives the industry a success story of how the mobile phone can truly change payments, combining mobile payments, engagement, and rewards seamlessly in one application.

During the Innovation Project 2015 event, Mozido led a team that took first place against 9 other teams in a Think-a-Thon competition. A select group of Innovation Project delegates debated and offered recommendations on issues in the payments industry, such as financial inclusion, cyber-security, and real-time payments. The Mozido-led team tackled financial inclusion and used their experience in Jamaica, Africa, India, and even the US to propose winning recommendations that use mobile phones to provide easy and affordable financial services to the 2.5 billion people around the world with no bank account.
