To install DTS (News - Alert) high-performance audio technology into the company's plasma and high-definition LCD televisions, DTS, Inc., a company in high-definition audio, has partnered with a top Chinese television manufacturer. "China has the highest domestic consumption rate of LCD panels in the world and is the third largest producer in terms of volume shipped," said Brian Towne, executive vice president and chief operating officer at DTS. "Our recent partnership with Changhong further signifies the growing adoption of DTS audio technology into the digital television market and the increasing demand from consumers for a better sound experience."

According to a press release, the integration of DTS' high performance technology into Changhong's plasma and high-definition LCD televisions will provide consumers the best audio possible, thereby raising the viewer's entertainment experience to a whole new level.

Xu Ming, general manager of Changhong Multimedia said, “Blu-Ray Disc(TM) players, digital broadcasting and IPTV (News - Alert) providers have all contributed to and driven the consumption of high-definition content by consumers, DTS has a long history of providing premium audio, which naturally complements the high-definition experience consumers desire.
