Nokia (News - Alert) introduced a new Windows phone in the Chinese market with 920T, the first TD-SCDMA Windows Phone in China. Along with providing fast mobile browsing on China Mobile's (News - Alert) 3G network, the phone is also equipped with other features such as advanced location services and innovative photography.

The phone has features which will excite any photo pro or hobbyist. With its Pureview's advanced floating lens technology, the phone has the capacity to take in five times more light than competing smartphone cameras.

This means you can save tons of battery power even if you’ve been clicking incessantly under dimly lit conditions.

The Lumia 920T also boasts the world's most sensitive touchscreen. It provides better visibility in the brightest sunlight, with its ClearBlack display technology, and is equipped with the full suite of Nokia navigation applications, including Nokia City Lens.

According to Nokia, China Mobile will be crucial in bringing the Lumia experience to an increased number of Chinese consumers.

“We are delighted to partner with China Mobile, the world's largest operator, to introduce China's first Lumia based on Windows Phone (News - Alert) 8. People around the world are responding positively to the new Lumia devices, and we're confident that the enthusiasm will extend to China with the Lumia 920T," said Stephen Elop, president and CEO at Nokia.

Recently, the company introduced its cloud-based mapping services, which look to compete with Apple (News - Alert) Maps app native to iOS. It provides a bar that the yet-to-come Google Maps app for iOS must measure itself against.

HERE maps from Nokia are not yet as accurate as those of Google Maps. But deployed into the design is a means by which it can show the existence of new roads and automatically incorporate them into the unmapped area.
