Mobile Network Status Management systems provider Actix announced this week that Actix (News - Alert) China has unveiled a new office in Beijing at the Junefield Plaza.
The new office will house the infrastructure that the company needs to implement its so-called “Actix One” enterprise solution for the Chinese telecom market.
It’s a market is growing at an unprecedented rate and Li Yizhong, the Chinese Minister for Industry and Information Technology, estimates that carriers will invest the equivalent of $41 billion in developing 3G networks over the next two years. The operators will face the challenge of controlling their network infrastructure once they get new 3G licenses, as well as a spurt in subscriptions. Actix is expected to see a great demand of Network Status Management systems from operators who will invest in 3G networks.
“The opening of the new office coincides with the latest allocation of the 3G licenses and comes in time for upcoming developments in the industry, such as the increase in 3G services,” said Alex Hawker (News - Alert), Actix’s chief executive officer. “Beijing is one of the key centres of telecommunications in China, and this expansion allows Actix to continue to develop our enterprise class products and be able to work closely with our customer and partners in the Chinese market”.
For the new Beijing office, Actix has chosen a central location – on the new International Media Avenue, at a close distance from the Financial Street, Xidan commercial zone and Tiananmen Square.
Actix specializes in intelligent, automated network performance engineering and network status management systems for wireless carriers. Actix solutions come with embedded wireless expertise and automating key processes, ensuring higher performance and greater operating margins for the carriers. The Actix software is being used by 10,000 engineers from 227 operators in 106 countries. Through these 227 operators, which include Verizon (News - Alert), O2, AT&T and T-Mobile, Actix benefits over 1,100,000,000 subscribers.
Recently, TMCnet reported that Actix has announced the introduction of Actix Viewpoint, a Web-based solution designed for the management and distribution of network performance engineering information.
