Antenna Technology Communications Inc., or “ATCi (News - Alert),” a provider of commercial satellite communications systems, announced plans to offer its advanced cellular communications satellite systems specifically designed for applications in Asia.
The company officials said that Hong Kong teleport facilities are being reviewed to ensure fiber access in their “SkyWay to Highway” industry integrated technology requirements.
ATCi's broadband cellular service presents cellular operators with a compelling solution for addressing backhauling challenges in terms of price and performance, company officials said.
Practically maintenance-free, the ATCi cellular or mobile solution is able to handle all voice and data backhaul traffic at a fraction of the cost of alternative solutions.
Gary Hatch, CEO, ATCi, said that to stay on top of the competition, cellular operators need to stay in tune with customer growing demands, and for that they need multifaceted next generation GSM backhaul systems capable of transmitting high bandwidth voice, data and video traffic to a growing number of cellular sites with carrier-grade reliability at the most affordable price.
Hatch said that the ATCi backhaul system is becoming the system of choice for service providers in that it tackles all the critical requirements that cellular operators usually stress as critical issues such as availability, revenue growth, quality, reliability, scalable and, most importantly, an operator's return on investment is accomplished in a matter of months.
In September, Antenna Technology teamed up with IPTV (News - Alert) system provider DigiSoft to provide a cost effective, highly scalable, end-to-end IPTV system for IP network operators.
The comprehensive IP solution includes all the pieces needed for an IPTV video head end including the Simulsat receive multibeam antenna, a satellite subsystem and MPEG-4 advanced compression.
