Hong Kong’s leading mobile network operator, CSL, recently inked a strategic alliance with Jasper Wireless (News - Alert), a global provider of platform, applications, and design services for the mobile network operators. The partnership will enable CSL to connect and support a host of emerging enterprise and consumer devices.

Under the partnership, Jasper Wireless is going to provide CSL with its software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) platform. Jasper Wireless’ highly configurable platform offers automation of operational processes, including custom device provisioning, instant activation, real-time diagnostic tools and detailed billing and usage reports, to ensure customers benefit from an enhanced user experience. The partnership is expected to eliminate the complexity associated with profitably connecting and managing new devices.

CSL is planning to enter the lucrative connected device market through its premium and corporate brand, 1O1O. The collaboration with Jasper Wireless will enable the company to offer advanced automation and control features to its new product as well as across its existing M2M verticals. In a press release, CSL claimed that as a result of this partnership, 1O1O customers will benefit from superior end-user experience, at the lowest total cost of operation.

“At CSL, we are dedicated to enhancing customer experience and driving the latest innovations in technology. Jasper’s comprehensive knowledge of global device manufacturers – their needs, their language and their challenges – offers our customers the necessary tools to build and grow a connected device business,” Executive Vice President at CSL Limited Paul Hodges explained in a statement.

“The Jasper Wireless platform offers us the necessary automation to enable plug-and-play simplicity, offering seamless connectivity straight out of the box to ensure customers receive a superior user experience, offered by our 1O1O brand,” Hodges added.

In 2009, Jasper signed another multi-year agreement with AT&T (News - Alert) to commercially launch a combined platform for connecting and supporting emerging consumer electronics and business devices on AT&T’s wireless network. The collaboration enabled wireless connection of personal navigation, in-car navigation, e-readers, mobile Internet devices, gaming, healthcare, tracking and other devices through the AT&T Control Center platform powered by Jasper Wireless.
