European SP SMiLOUS Selects TelcoBridge's Tmedia Solution

TelcoBridges (News - Alert) has announced that SMiLOUS, a European service provider, will deploy the company’s Tmedia hardware and media gateway application software in order to support its managed switching and global “Telco Village” Meet-me-Room solution.
Telco Village allows companies to communicate and collaborate, regardless of distance and it is marketed on a rented capacity basis, so no capital equipment expenditures are required. Customers are guaranteed bandwidth and network capacity is rented on an as-needed basis, without a long-term contract.
The network has three core switching centers in London, Frankfurt and Hong Kong as well as 40+ POPs around the world. All industry standards and protocols are supported. The business proposition is the fact that customers avoid negotiating contracts with collocation providers, or dealing with a network. SMiLOUS handles all of the points of presence, network, switching, routing and billing.
TelcoBridges’ carrier-grade solution is used to transport thousands of concurrent calls via high-capacity optical circuits. The company’s products are connected via STM-1 interfaces, thereby providing a fully redundant architecture.
“More and more businesses are using SMiLOUS’s global Meet-me-Room services to boost productivity, reduce travel costs, and leverage the skills of remote workers,” said Danny Paul Blouin, vice president of Marketing for TelcoBridges. “Innovations like the Telco Village are solutions launched at the right place and at the right time.”
