Emptoris, Inc, one of the leading providers of strategic supply and contract management solutions, recently announced that it has secured a new state-of-the-art facility in India, that is expected to accommodate more than 500 employees for its Pune-based Emptoris Technologies India (ETI (News - Alert)) organization. The company had earlier appointed Prashant Deshpande as senior vice president and general manager of its India operations.
This new facility will be under the leadership of Deshpande and will act as ETI's premier global delivery center offering engineering, professional services, customer support and application hosting management functions in a co-located environment. The center will look to provide higher value to more than 350 of Emptoris' global customers.
The new center in India will help to enhance various key functions to deliver innovative, high value services in a collaborative environment. In a release, Patrick D. Quirk, president and CEO of Emptoris said that "This new space is an ideal working environment for promoting a high quality of work-life balance for our global delivery organization's top talent, who are driving key product enhancements and superior 24/7 customer support. The new Pune office complements our other locations across the globe and will provide further local support for customers and partners in India and throughout Southeast Asia."
The facility is located in the Commerzone Tech Park which is situated near the Pune airport. The new facility will consist of a large team who have expertise in product development, customer support, applications management and professional services.
Deshpande said that "Our India delivery center provides easy access to Emptoris' internal knowledge base and talent pool and will drive quicker resolution of customer issues with engineering, customer support, professional services, and applications management functions co-located under one roof. This combination of agility, flexibility and high quality of delivery at a lower cost translates into real sustainable value for our global customers."
Emptoris is headquartered in Burlington, Mass and operates ten offices across the globe, including the new facility in Pune, India.
