Mformation Technologies Inc. (News - Alert), a provider of advanced mobile device management solutions, has completed five years of its India operations in Bangalore.

A critical role is played by the India operation in the company’s product development, QA, and support. Mformation’s Bangalore Development Center has grown by over 500 percent in the past five years. Mformation’s device certification lab in Bangalore supports key global mobile device vendors such as HTC, Huawei, Intel (News - Alert), LG, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, RIM, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Symbian and ZTE.

Todd DeLaughter, Mformation’s CEO has said that Mformation had made a strategic call on India operations and the benefit has been tremendous. The expansion of India operation has been rapid over the last five years, growing to nearly 200 highly skilled and educated technical staff. He added that the team is a key strategic asset for Mformation and has played a central role in all product releases over the last 5 years. Till date more than 4,000 device models have been certified on the Mformation Service Manager platform. He mentioned that by maintaining significant advanced mobile software development, technological, and support resources in India the company has been able to build positive relationships with customers and partners throughout the region and globally.

Mformation’s operation in India was established in Bangalore in 2005, moving to a new, larger facility in 2008 to support its ongoing expansion. The India operation is the central hub for Mformation’s product engineering. All technical activities, including client- and server-side development engineering, quality assurance, device release and certification programs, technical support, R&D, and customer deployment, are driven by the India operation. Mformation’s India team is also responsible for the company’s device client development and prototyping work — covering all mobile operating systems, from Symbian, Windows Mobile and RIM to iPhone and Android (News - Alert).

DeLaughter continued by saying that India has been great resource for Mformation, with its wealth of world-class teaching institutions producing a base of very well-trained people. The company’s policy has always been to select the “best of the best.” The company will continue to invest in India to support the growing demand for advanced mobile device management capabilities in the region and globally.
