In keeping with its commitment to provide comprehensive service in Asia and around the globe, Cleverbridge, a full-service e-commerce partner for companies that sell software and SaaS (News - Alert), appointed Yosuke Ito as general manager in Japan.
"Yosuke is instrumental in strengthening our position as a leader in the international e-commerce market for digital products, regardless of region, channel or licensing models," said Christian Blume, CEO at Cleverbridge.
In 2011, Cleverbridge opened an Asian customer service operation in Shanghai, China. With Yosuke's appointment, Cleverbridge expects to further expand its reach in the international markets and simultaneously expand its Asian operations hub in Tokyo.
Blume considered the move as a strategic step for the company to strengthen its position in the Asian market and also expand on a global scale.
Ito has over 25 years of management experience with technology and e-commerce companies. This experience when coupled with his ability to lead multiple companies make successful entries into Japan, will benefit Cleverbridge.
According to Blume, as a complete global e-commerce partner Cleverbridge was well positioned to provide the technology, expertise and associations critical to success in the Asian market.
The number of Asian orders flowing through the Cleverbridge platform increased by more than 1,000 percent since 2009 and Ito's expertise, he said, is expected to add to the company's growing Asian proficiency.
Cleverbridge's flexible platform and unrivaled service, which fuels the performance of B2C and B2B businesses around the globe, would, according to company officials, help Cleverbridge increase its ability to optimize conversion rates for companies selling throughout Asia.
