Brightcove Wins Key Marketers and E-Commerce Customers in Japan

Brightcove announced that it has recently won a series of major new customers in Japan including major brand marketers and e-commerce organizations. These new customers are RESTIR, PhaseOne, Inc., Dr. Ci: Labo Co., Ltd., Girls Professional Baseball League and Tokai Tokyo Securities Co., Ltd. With the help of fully-localized Brightcove platform, these organizations are able to drive customer engagement with their online video content and boost conversions for their e-commerce initiatives.



In a release, Jeremy Allaire (News - Alert) who is the chairman and CEO of Brightcove said that “Brightcove is already the online video platform of choice for some of the biggest media organizations in Japan, and now we are successfully extending the reach of our platform to leading brand marketers and e-commerce organizations.”

Brightcove also announced that the company succeeded in adding numerous reputed Japanese media organizations to its fast-growing customer base in the country. These new media organization customers include SKY Perfect JSAT (News - Alert) Corporation, WOWOW and For it.

RESTIR is a high-fashion apparel company having its stores all over Japan. The company adopted the services of Brightcove to support its latest online video initiatives that were introduced together with RESTIR.COM, the company’s new online boutique. The Brightcove platform facilitates RESTIR to generate a highly interactive, appealing online video experience for its site visitors.

PhaseOne is a reputed information provider for healthcare professionals. It has recently selected the Brightcove platform to assist in the creation of its new iPad application, “Gan@Misewaza”. This app features various videos regarding surgical procedures and cancer treatments that are conducted by well-known oncologists.

Dr. Ci: Labo is a Japanese cosmetics company popular for its skincare products. Recently, it has introduced a Brightcove-powered video portal which consists of a series of video contents exhibiting tips for using Dr. Ci: Labo products.

The Girls Professional Baseball League organization makes use of Brightcove platform to drive awareness of the league via online video programs. These programs also include video coverage of league games on the same day.

Tokai Tokyo Securities is a financial services giant in Japan. By exploiting Brightcove platform, the organization recently introduced a new online video initiative. Every day, this initiative exhibits local and global market and investment news.
