Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur Allows Booking through Facebook

Facebook (News - Alert) users can now book rooms at Malaysia’s Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur using an innovative Facebook booking engine. The Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur will also be offering exclusive prices for Facebook users who use this booking engine.



Recently, the four Facebook pages of Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur had recorded more than 30000 fans. Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur has therefore decided to increasingly use the social network tool to reach out to its consumers, and has launched this unique booking tool. Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur has collaborated with Sabre (News - Alert) Hospitality Solutions for unveiling the Facebook booking engine.

In a release, Melvin Lim, GM for Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur, said, "Many hotels in Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia also feature a 'booking engine,' but what they are using is just a connection or link that leads the user away from Facebook and into a completely different environment. This can be daunting for some Facebook users that have become familiar with the social network environment. What sets us apart is the Sabre Hospitality Solutions' technology that allows users to book directly and safely without leaving the Facebook environment."

The hotel’s reservations system is available to users in real-time through the Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur fan page, allowing Facebook users to check availability of rooms and immediately book the required rooms. Facebook fans can therefore reserve rooms at the hotel without leaving the Facebook surroundings.

A unique product suite was introduced by Sabre Hospitality Solutions in June 2011 to assist hotels to connect to guests through social media.
