Connectiva (News - Alert) Systems, Inc., a provider of revenue and risk management solutions, has announcedthat YTL Communications Sdn Bhd, a company from Malaysia has selected the company for implementing its Connectiva AFFIRM solution and manage YTL Communications’ revenue assurance processes.

YTL Communications Sdn Bhd is the communications utility of YTL Power International Berhad which is a subsidiary of a Malaysian based conglomerate, YTL Corporation Berhad, while Connectiva Systems is a revenue management software company whose solutions enable telecom, media and utility companies to reduce revenue leakage, minimize fraud and increase over-all profitability.

The Connectiva AFFIRM solution has been built on an open standard based analytics framework, and helps the enterprises in identification, correction and prevention of leakage across their entire revenue chains including the Business Support Systems or ‘BSS’ and Operations Support Systems or ‘OSS’ components.

YTL Communications has been leveraging the world’s first nationwide 4G network, and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission or ‘MCMC’ has awarded the company a license for a WiMAX (News - Alert) 2.3 GHz wireless broadband access spectrum. Connectiva will also provide re-rating and re-billing services to the company for supporting this network.

During the implementation, the BSS and OSS components will be jointly supplied by Tech Mahindra, a global systems integrator and technology solutions provider to the telecom industry, and Cisco (News - Alert) Systems, Inc., a provider of networking solutions for the Internet.

According to Lee Nyit Toong, the CFO of YTL Communications, the need for strong revenue assurance solutions has become increasingly important as the company gears itself for the commercial launch of its nationwide 4G service later this year. Toong continued that the appointment of Connectiva portrays YTL Communications’ firm commitment to continue working with best-in-class partners in its 4G network deployment. The company is pleased to partner with Connectiva and looks forward to future success, Toong added.
