A strategic partnership with Powernique Technology Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian corporation, has been announced by Global MobileTech, Inc.

Powernique Technology is an independent engineering consultant in renewable energy services. Global MobileTech Inc. is a diversified renewable energy, mobile communications and advertising company.

Solar-wind hybrid power generation for rural/remote island electrification will be managed and implemented in Asia by Global MobileTech along with Powernique as its strategic partner. The cell towers secured by Global MobileTech will also be managed and implemented as a part of this collaboration.

Global MobileTech’s ability to provide renewable energy, mobile Voice over Internet Protocol and mobile advertising services to a bigger consumer base not connected to grid electricity in Asia will be enhanced with this partnership with Powernique. According to the information by the Asian Development Bank, telecommunication services and energy are not accessible to more than 800 million people in Asia. Traditional biomass fuels are still being relied upon to meet the cooking and heating needs by nearly 1.8 billion people in Asia.

In a release, Aik Fun Chong who is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Global MobileTech Inc., said, “We believe that solar-wind power generation will be a major force in the future and this is a very opportune time for us to enter this developing segment of the renewable energy market. GLMB’s partnership with Powernique is a milestone towards both companies’ goal in delivering solar-wind hybrid power that is cost competitive with fossil fuel based energy.”

The company is currently negotiating with several mobile operators and government agencies.
The company hopes that during the third quarter of 2010, the first contract for the supply of solar-wind power generation solutions will be secured.

Spokane, Wash.-based Global MobileTech Inc. has Asian operations based in Malaysia. Customers should be able to improve energy efficiency, reduce telecommunications costs and meet pressing environmental challenges is the focus of the company. This is being done by bringing mobile VoIP, mobile advertising and cost-effective solar-wind power generation technologies to the customers. Renewable energy and mobile communications & advertising services are the two segments under which Global MobileTech’s operations are organized.
